English and American Literature, University of California, San Diego. Dr. Sweedler-Brown is the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Letters. Her teaching and research interests include composition theory and pedagogy, basic writing, writing assessment, and ESL. Dr. Sweedler-Brown has published numerous articles in the areas of basic writing, writing assessment, structural revision, prewriting, and ESL pedagogy and assessment.
