Applying through Extended Studies
If you are not a student at SDSU and wish to take a class through
the College of Extended Studies you will need to do the following:
- Get a registration form from the College of Extended Studies.
The forms are in a box outside the registration window on Hardy
Avenue, on the north side of the Gateway
Building. You can find more information and download a registration
form from the Extended
Studies website. You can also also register
online or by phone (619 594-5152) or by fax (619 594-0147).
- Bring the registration form to the first class and have your
instructor sign it.
- Mail or fax the signed form to Extended Studies along with
payment for the course.
You can apply to the Advanced Certificate Program at any time
(there is no deadline). Applications are reviewed on an ongoing
basis.
Enrolling while still an undergraduate
Note that students can take Certificate classes for undergraduate
and graduate-level credits simultaneously. This is called "concurrent
enrollment", and you can do this ONLY IF you are in your last semester
of undergraduate study. To take Certificate classes while you are
an undergraduate you will need to pick up a concurrent enrollment
form from the Graduate Division of Student Affairs, and get permission
from the Graduate Division. |
