This is my first semester as a lecturer at San Diego State University. In January 2021, I moved to California from Arizona where I taught for over eight years at Arizona State University and Maricopa Community Colleges. I am currently teaching RWS 100 and 305W at SDSU and enjoy working with students in the classroom where our ideas can be exchanged. I have learned that this type of interaction aids in learning, which in turn makes us better writers. 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy writing creatively. I have recently revised a self-published novel and am always seeking ways to become a better writer. I have also been taking some surfing lessons and enjoy spending time at the beach.
