Patty Hiebert
Lecturer
Office: Storm Hall 112A | Email: [email protected]
Patty Hiebert is a first-generation, non-traditional, community college transfer student and proud SDSU graduate. She was part of the honors program and earned a BS in business administration with an IDS emphasis. Inspired by her work as a college writing tutor, she returned to SDSU to earn an MA in RWS with a teaching of writing emphasis.
Patty has taught English composition at Southwestern College and UCSD, but her campus of choice is SDSU. She feels honored to work with SDSU students and in the RWS department. She also loves working at such a beautiful, diverse, and welcoming campus.
When she isn’t teaching, you’ll find Patty outdoors --- she says nature is her church. She enjoys long walks with her dogs Parker and Archie, riding horses with her daughter, and working on her yard. Patty is a family person, and her closest friends are her husband, children, and grandchildren.
