Theresa Perales (she, her, hers) completed a B.A. in Spanish and M.A. in Spanish with a concentration in linguistics from San Diego State University. She has a background as a language educator, teacher-training educator, and curriculum and instructional designer.
Theresa's research and instructional interests center around rhetoric, linguistics, and culturally responsive pedagogies. She frequently presents on topics related to equitable teaching practices and intercultural communication. She is committed to using authentic materials in the language classroom and leveraging flipped-classroom methods for student engagement.
