Rachel Weeks is a writer, artist, and educator, born and raised in rural South Georgia. She received her B.A. from Elon University in English Literature and Professional Writing & Rhetoric. After working as a book editor in the publishing world, she came to San Diego State University and earned an M.A. in English and Comparative Literature to teach English at the undergraduate level. She is thrilled to be teaching in the RWS Department here at SDSU.

Rachel’s academic interests include queer theory, 20th century women novelists, young adult literature, writing pedagogy, and fanfiction.

In her free time, Rachel writes, makes embroidery art, and bakes for friends and family.
